In the era of ancient times, the city of Aswan was very different, as people in that period used to live in this city, as it is the place where the rulers and kings of Nubia resided. Therefore, this is the reason for the presence of the tombs of the kings and the royal family of Nubia near the “Elephantine Island” which is now called the tombs of the nobles of Aswan.

It is located on the high slopes across from Aswan, just north of Kitchener’s Island, where well-preserved tombs, south of the gatekeepers, and other dignitaries were on ancient Elephantine Island. These cemeteries are still being excavated and researched on other cemeteries, where six decorated graves were currently open to the public between 2014 and 2017 AD.
