Egypt reopens Avenue of Sphinxes in celebration like no otherCelebrations that

uxor- The reopening of the Rams Road, also known as the Avenue of Sphinxes, has once again dazzled the world. The ancient Egyptian Opet celebration has been revived in a contemporary setting.

The "Opet Festival," which was celebrated more than 5,000 years ago in the middle of the Avenue of Sphinxes (Rams Road), attracted attention from across the world on Thursday evening. Under the supervision of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the celebrations were staged live in Luxor.

As the celebration spread throughout the city by land, river, and air, everyone was mesmerized by Luxor's beauty and all of its distinctive tourist and archaeological components.

The ritual started with a 3-kilometer-long progressive panoramic illumination of the Luxor Temple.

The First Lady of Egypt then made her entrance, followed by President Al-Sisi and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, Khaled El-Enany. As they walked up to the first pylon, El-Enany gave a speech outlining Egypt's improvements to the Rams Road and the entire temple.

The sculptures of Memnon at the Temple of Hatshepsut on the western mainland were lit, and a canopy of laser lights covered the sky.

Participating in a welcome song for Luxor's guests was artist Mohamed Hamaki. Then a documentary was screened, highlighting Luxor's distinctive and varied tourism offerings, including its love of culture, balloons, Nile cruise, and flouka tourism. In addition to actress Asmaa Abou El-Yazid, a large number of bloggers and YouTubers, including Amr Wahba, Bassant Nour El din, and Logina Salah, took part in the documentary.

Additionally, Mostafa El-Saghier, Mostafa Waziri, El Enany, the director of the Karnak temple, and others took part in describing the special experience that visitors might have in Luxor.

The famous Reda band then performed the song "Luxor is our country is a country of tourists" with a new musical arrangement created by Nader El Abbasi after numerous horse carriages had been creatively outfitted and lit.

Then the Minister of Tourism spoke and said that the performance would be held today to revive the Egyptian Opet festival. Opet, which falls in the second month of the flood season, was a yearly festival.

The Nile Barque, a ceremonial boat that was used to convey statues of gods and deities, was part of the performance and represented the holy trinity of Amun, Mut, and Khonsu.

In the background, colourful sailboats sailed in the colours of Luxor's visual identity, and a number of balloons were launched in the skies of Luxor to commemorate the opening.

As the Opet festival, which marks the beginning of the flooding season, was being celebrated, three ancient Egyptian boats were transported from the Luxor Temple to the Karnak Temple. Fireworks in the sky heralded the ceremony's conclusion.
