Amada Temple

The Amada Temple is the oldest of the temples found in ancient Nubia, and although it has been changed several times throughout history until it has been completely removed, it is still a great place to visit, especially if you will enjoy a cruise to Lake Nasser wandering during Egypt travel packages

The original building plan of the building managed to form columns, and an arcade, which led to its conversion to a shelter after that, when Tuthmosis the Fourth roofing the open front yard, the columns, and walls were “decorated with stunning scenery, with sculptures that include Tuthmosis IV on the left” and Amenhotep the Second on the right. Although the temple features a cool and undecorated exterior face, its interior features have some prominent reliefs in vivid and vibrant colors.

Besides the original inscriptions found there, there are some Inscriptions was lifelike, apparently copied during the Nineteenth Dynasty that include scenes from the viceroy of Nubia, Messi, that appear to recite royal prayers, while other more recent Inscriptions appear on top The face of the temple is very beautiful pictures that were believed to be from the Bedouins or travelers during the Middle Ages

After Amenhotep the Second assumed, and during his reign, he continued to develop the original temple and improve the decorations of the temple. Later when Amenhotep died, his successor, Tuthmosis the Fourth, began, once again, to initiate a number of changes, as instructions were given to remove the name “Amun” and all the statues of the god Amun to whom the temple was dedicated to praying him.
